I am a freelance science writer based in New York.
For nearly 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of partnering with some of the smartest people in science to write about their work. I collaborate with faculty at major research universities in the New York area, as well as with scientific research organizations and institutes, translating research breakthroughs into compelling content for internal and external audiences. My clients have included the New York University Tandon School of Engineering, Columbia University, The Rockefeller University, the New York Academy of Sciences, and the German Center for Research and Innovation, among others. I'm continually in awe of the researchers and scientists who invite me into their labs and trust me to share their work with the world.
From biomedical research to robotics, sustainability, nutrition, materials science, and cybersecurity, I’ve covered a wide range of topics in the sciences, generating articles for use in the media, annual reports, research bulletins, and magazines. I regularly attend and write the proceedings of scientific conferences and convenings spanning topics including pre-approval access to investigational medicines, micronutrient deficiencies, renewable energy, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
I started my career in magazine publishing, handling communications for some of the world’s leading science publications, including Popular Science, Discover, Smithsonian, Air & Space, and Astronomy, among others.
